- If by "bit-rob" you mean take some of your bandwidth because perhaps the telco
- switch thinks your line is vacant, then no.

- If that is what you mean, then there is no such thing as bit-robbing. The
- telco switch would gain nothing because an idle or on-hook line uses no
- bandwidth. Until you actually place a call (go off-hook and dial) your line
- places no burden on the telco network at all (except that the telco switch
- does spend a few CPU cycles checking to see if you have picked up your phone).
